25 years of married bliss!?

Well 25 years ago today I walked down the isle of the church to meet the man whom I loved deeply! And 25 years on I can honestly say I love him more now than ever before and I also have the ability to not like him at times too! Knowing that, our relationship will be stronger for both!

The photo from the paper of us on the 26th two days before our Wedding Ann!
Here is the message I wrote him for today!

To My Darling Husband

Keith 25 years ago today we were joined in marriage. We made a lifelong commitment in front of Family and friends. It was important for us to do so and even though we were so young we had so much! Blind faith, ignorance and lashings of hope!
All have served us well over the past 25 years!

We have had our fair or unfair share of problems.
However we have mounted many some we have fallen at and lost the battle!
Others we have conquered and have through everything grown stronger, braver and more comfortable with each other and ourselves.
I know that the joy of being parents to our darling 3 children has been riddled with both joy and heartache.

With every negative comes a positive. Ying and Yang.
With the disappointment of infertility came the joy of adoption.
We have 3 amazing children who make us both smile and mutter everyday!
They also make each day memorable!
I love the fact that this has been a shared parenting role and that we do try to have equal partnership.
I love the support from you and that I require more from you each and everyday as you do of me!
The finances aren’t where we would like! This is a choice we have made! (Well actually you did!) I can’t wait for the next 25 years to pass.
Each year I suggest you save some money so we can at least at 50 years do a Greek Island cruise!

I love you each and everyday, even when I am stressed beyond belief!
What I need from you as we move forward is more time together!
More cuddles! More laughter! And more love!
I love you more today in a more deeply and meaningful way!
However if there is anything I could change it would be ~~~ why can’t we go back to those early days! :)
Memories are not quite enough! ;)
Love Ruth
