The end of a year! No more 43 for me!

Well today is the last day of being 43 and we have shopping to do! The children and Keith went shopping yesterday! And the children and I am going shopping today!
Monday is the our 24th wedding anniversary so we need to shop for that!
Aiden's Grandma arrived yesterday to visit and the kids are all over the place! What a great few days it will be!
Also today my sister, brother-in-law, niece and nephew arrive home after 6 weeks in Europe! So that will be fun picking them up at the airport!
That is what my day looks like! Tomorrow is my day and we have no plans! Life is grand!

A Thoughtful day

I have been thinking about the value we place on our children, as an educator I work with people each and every day who are striving the best to meet the needs of children that live with or teach or interact with!
I am constantly amazed at how much some do not know when they are in professional fields similar to mine!
I love being a parent and can't wait for a new child to arrive in my life! I love this clip below and when feeling sad or frustrated I Google Ken Robinson and watch this clip!
Hope you enjoy him!

Ida Valley

We love Ida Valley it is so peaceful and quiet and hot! Did I say Hot! Yes around 40 degrees celcius hot and dry just amazing! It was a great break 3 days there was just what we needed! Thanks Sandra and Sergio for allowing us go! We woke up to sounds of sheep and tractors the first morning and Emily and I went to investigate!

The Farmer was baling hay and it was interesting. The first tractor mounding the hay up and the second was like a vacuum cleaner and sucked it up and rolled it into a big circular bale which was then wrapped to hold with a netting and then it popped it out the back of a trailer like a hen laying an egg or as Emily said like doing a poo! Oh dear!

Keith and Aiden did part of the rail trail and the bike riding was a highlight for the two boys and Emily loved riding her bike too! Also loved being doubled by Keith! Mum did growl no helmets!

Enjoy the photos!

Mystery Trip

We packed up the car and we went off on a mystery trip! The children didn't know we had the car filled and they thought we were going to Invercargill for work! Well we did we stopped at 4 holiday programmes on Wednesday and then we drove through to Queenstown. Then we visited two more programmes I have posted photos from that day! Emily and Aiden sitting at the waterfront at Queenstown waiting for Alice to arrive! we were there almost 4 years ago before we got Emily's referral and I took loads of photos of Aiden in the same place! Hope you enjoy the photos!

Happy New Year

I know I am a wee bit late! But such is life! I apologise for that! I know that we are all busy but have uploaded the photos now and will create a slide show for you all to see!
We struggled to find a restaurant to eat at and finally ended up at Lone Star a good meal but the menu never changes! Aiden and Emily enjoyed their dinner!
We also then found no movie to take us through to Midnight so went to the local playground and had a last play for the year! Then we went home for hot chocolate and a cuddle and then Emily went to bed about 10:30 pm she said "if it is a new year will I see Alice's face tomorrow?" Broke my heart! I said that we will have to wait until after my birthday and hopefully before Aiden's but the reality we just don't know!
Aiden, Keith and I saw the New Year in with a round of cards. We have been playing Canasta most nights and Aiden is improving daily!
So we wish you all a very happy new year!
