Here are the girls in the Chinese dance outfits I made last week before we went to Wanaka for FCC gathering! They certainly were very proud of their show as they shopuld be as they all did so well!!

Every day after school Miss Em brings home a reading book to read to us and after her afternoon tea we read the book and then it is TV time while I work for an hour or make dinner!
This week we have spelling and writing a sentence using the spelling words! Well that was a hard task! As Miss Emily didn't want to use the words! "are, you for my and oh!" For some unknown reason they just didn't rock her world!
I hope by the end of the week she can write the words and doesn't get upset if she doesn't learn them properly!
She certainly looked cute as doing her homework! Now Hi5 is playing behind me! Alice did try helping! :)
Emily had an adventure on this Mumma wasn't happy about! Yesterday when I was laying in my bed and sound asleep. Keith was on the pick up duty ran very late!(Yes I was grumpy! Only when I found out!) When he arrived at school Miss Emily was gone! A parents nightmare!
Who me? I would be a liar if I said when I found out I was as mad as hell!
Here she is sitting up like a big school girl and often sits like this at home in front of the TV! OMG!
She was safe and had used her logic! However today when we went through protocol about pick up I went to pick her up and she wasn't where she was meant to be my heart raced and I got Miss Alice out of the car and had to search the playground because the office lady said to wait there for her parent! So then Miss Alice threw a tantrum! That was a whole other story!
Now we are home I am in the process of packing again as I am heading away for work for 3 days and will be back late on Wednesday! I wish it was somewhere exotic however sadly no! 
We had a very busy weekend with the national gathering of Children adopted from China. Families from all over New Zealand travelled to Wanaka and yes it rained all weekend which is just our luck!
We spent loads of time talking and eating! Or carrying a grizzly Alice she was overwhelmed by all the people but she still managed to hold her own and get more darn cute if that is at all possible!
Not the best photos but that is okay the face is obsured! This is Maia who was part of our first travel group with Emily and her parents and Maia travelled last June when we were united with our Alice and Johnny!
Part of the concert that the organisers did how fantastic that they took the lead and dressed up for Dancing Queen! Actually it was Mumma Mia!
Alice has been shy and retiring all weekend and hasn't shown her personality unless it is in small groups!
Miss Emily has just enjoyed the social interaction and has relished all the children! It has been great! She did so well with her dance as part of the entertainment! She shone as always!
It is great! Especially to catch up with friends and of course now family by adoption!

If I giggle enough maybe you will ignore me and let me stay up later! This was taken a few weeks ago and since then she has been going to bed and now has a new routine!
And when Keith is smiling the whole world (well at least our one) Smiles with him!
We got the phone call this afternoon and she was okay at that point so I picked her up at her usual time and she was sitting reading books to herself!
One bite on the nose and one on her left hand cheek! and they have both broken the skin.
We are off to the doctors will let you know what happens!

And finally a smile! He saw I was taking photos and gave me a smile!
I love looking at his face and seeing the faces of his birth family come to the fore! He is just the most amazing young man who has decided he won't come up with us to Wanaka wants to compete in the school sports! So has organised his Grandad to stay the night and then come up after school on Friday! Boy he is growing up fast!

Today we spent a few hours with the Chinese community and had a blast out in the sun! What a fantastic day! Emily and Alice had a blast in the playground out at the Brighton Domain.
There was a tug of war and then running races then three legged races. We also had a great time catching up with loads of children from Emily's Montessori school.
Keith caught eating! It was the only photo I got of him! LOL!
