Well apparently deliveries are starting overnight in Europe, Canada and the States! So wishing all the new families great happiness when they see thier babies face for the first time! Hugs Ruth
I'm a gal from RQ and I just wanted to take a moment to say THANK YOU for what you posted on RQ about the fee increases. It really ticks me off when people complain about the fee increases...especially when they're able to write off much of their expenses to begin with you. I am a Canadian and our costs seem to work similarly to yours. I'm guessing 95% of the costs will come directly out of my pocket. Our government does offer a $1,600 tax deduction after the adoption is finalized that I'm very thankful for but that is it.
CCAA is caring for our children. They're loving them, feeding the, changing them and being the arms that hold them until we meet. Why do people get so upset when after 15 years they're asked to donate a little more?
Anyway, I just wanted to say thank you for what you said.
Hope you have a great weekend!

This is the story of our family life here in a little city called Dunedin! We have three beautiful and talented children all adopted! Our son Aiden joined us in October 1995 he was born in NZ. Then in August 2004 we travelled to China to add to our family Emily joined us. We then travelled again to China in June 2008 and were united with Alice. We are now home working hard and playing hard! Join us on our daily battle to be the best family we can be! Arohanui Ruth and Keith Proud parents of our darlings!
I am a 49 year old Mother to three adopted children and wife to Keith of 29 years.
I am a trained teacher. I have been known as the children, in my centre's 2nd Mum! So therefore I am Mumma to many!
