It is very early in our house and the children and husband are still asleep.
So I have created a blog so I can journal my thoughts about this whole process.
Our paperwork is sitting in Wellington waiting for enough others to be completed so they can be sent to CCAA in China where the matching process will happen.
This time it took about 4 weeks to get our homestudy finished but we had made our decision to return to China for another daughter before I had even finished leaving China with Emily.
And collectively we made the decision within weeks of being home that we would adopt again. I feel the pull of those children in China greatly.
Maybe also that Emily has been the easiest of children. She has settled really quickly into our family and of course adores her big brother.
The trip in China was a stressful one but one that I would repeat in a heartbeat!
The friends and family that we have meet along the way has also enhanced this experience for us. The isolation I felt when we adopted Aiden from here is completely gone, partly because I was 9 years older! But also you are able to build a support network quicker and easier these days with the internet than ever before.
You can vent and have 3 or 50 people agree with you so instantly it normalises some of the issues we face.
We're Baaack!
