Why do they need to Climb? It is amazing to watch Emily want to be cuddled like Alice and Alice be like Emily!
They both will often sit and suck thumbs and for Emily it is a given and for Alice it is so unnatural she will still persist!
Ouch My Baby lost her first baby tooth last night! She was very happy with the tooth fairy gift that arrived! A butterfly ring.

Why does she want to wear PJ's that are almost 2 sizes too small? I have just cleaned out all her draws except PJ's becuase at least she is at home and does it matter to anyone other than me? Probably not! :)

On the 29 August 2004 5 years ago we received a very hot and sad baby in Nanchang PRC. It is amazing how much she has changed and how far we all have come.

I had a Rotovirus this week and spent Tuesday through till today Friday recovering! It has been a hard week with a 2 day work meeting that I didn't make out of town! :(

So I am off to put my feet up and relax as the DR ordered!

Happy Father's Day!

Well today is Father's Day here in NZ.
Here is Keith and the kids are showing him some loving!

This is the usual attachment Keith has Miss Alice on his lap wherever and whenever she can! His cling on baby!

Being a father takes a special sort of fellow and he certainly has more skills than he ever thought he would! I wonder every now and then what nature his bio children would have had? (had he had any!)

Anyway the Children and I would like to say thanks for being a great Dad and role model of what a Dad, Husband and Son should be!

Just over 14 years ago!

On the 18th August 1995 we saw our son's photo for the first time! And boy how our lives have changed!

I remember the day well. It was a cold wet afternoon around 5pm when a woman walked into our childcare centre and asked if I was Ruth and that she was a lawyer! I thought what had I done wrong!

Then she said that she had a birthmother who wanted to place her child with me however there was an issue with the birthfather.

Over the next few weeks we spent a lot of time in Lawyers offices in strangers homes who were fast becoming our family through this amazing process.

This photo was a couple of weeks later like it is now!

He certainly was a wriggler!

He ate well and had horrible nappy rash!

I found his first tooth and we were falling in love!

Keith looked so awkward but was developing his parenting skills and our friends and family were worried that this may fall through!

Well now 14 years ago we are blessed by such a loving family and it still amazes me!

What I know for sure ~ Aiden hates thinking he will miss out on anything!

~ That he does love his sisters more than the guitar!

(he isn't sure about that though)

~that he is more beautiful now than ever!

~ He is talented and will achieve anything he wants!

~ I think he will rock this world

~ Both Keith and I love him beyond belief

and day it gets so much deeper and stronger!

Emily is 6!!!!

The birthday girl herself is so pleased to be 6 and was full of attitude which we are going to have to curb however today wasn't the day for it!
We had a quite day and Miss Em had a brilliant one! And on the big scale of things that is what is important!

Aiden taking photos for I looked really terrible and told him no photos of me! Tomorrow we will get a photo!

This was at 7 am and she was just about ready for bed again! She came down with a nasty bug! and vomited all over Emily's bed just after we put them to bed last night and it was every layer of Emily's bed was affected except Emily herself!

Emily asked for a purple cake with butterflies but with Alice home sick this was what I could do! She was happy with the outcome I think!

I am so clever I can decorate cakes upside down now! LOL!
