Trouble in the house!

Every couple of days we play this game which often brings out the worst in the kids! They need to learn how to win and lose! So every few days we play and often it is Aiden who throws the towel in! However it is often Emily who wins and Keith can be the most ruthless!
Yes there is often trouble and we are now on the outlook for this game for Aiden's future! :)
I do suggest that we play games and play to teach them how to win and lose with style!

Cyril Raymond

He is the photo that Cyril had taken to get his passport to come and live in NZ in 1967! He was the proud father of Keith after 17 years of marriage and Infertility! Common post WW2 :( ! At least he choose to come to NZ with his wife and son! My future Husband! LOL!

I remember when we were going through infertility he said just go and adopt I wanted to do that but his wife was not interested!

Amazing how much they both loved Aiden and how much Ann loves Emily and Alice!

Cyril would have been in laughter today watching Emily and Alice run around the supermarket like total nutters! and a Cyber friend told me about her Dad's illness I felt sad and thought today would be a good day to see his face!

After 11 years we still miss you Gramps and we will always! Even when you were Grumps!

Daily life

Today we will give you a snap shot of what the day looks like in our house!
6:30 am we wake and get up wake Aiden so he can shower while he is in the shower we make lunches for Keith, Aiden, and Emily.
We try and keep quiet and see if the girls will sleep a little long but often we have Alice on the bean bag drinking her morning bottle
by 7:10 most mornings we have packed lunches and made breakfasts! Weetbix(cereal) for everyone except Alice who has congee with fruit.
Then it is dressed for the girls and then bathroom, bags packed then some time before 8am we will have showers and get dressed and by 8:20 after yelling a few times at the kids and Keith we head out the door and then Keith takes Aiden across town to school and he goes to work.
I drive down the hill and then drop Emily at school and Alice to Daycare and by 8:30-9 am I am home again and start work well actually I probably have already done some work already!
Then by 2:45 I am in the car again picking up children or heading to visit programmes and it is a full on day with phone calls etc!

We were lucky on Tuesday and Friday to have our friend Lea come and clean the house!
Aiden arrives home most days at about 4 pm after catching the bus home from school.

Then while Emily and Alice are doing homework and having Afternoon tea I am dealing with Emails, Phone calls and making dinner and by 5:30 we are eating dinner however on Tuesday we have to have earlier dinners as Aiden has choir from 6-7:30pm then home more work or private emailing and the sit down and watch house and Boston legal!

Then if I have done my work and blog I crawl to bed!
The blessing tonight is the heavy rain falling on the tin roof will be just delightful!

Autumn has arrived and there is a distinct chill in the air at night!

So all in all a full on day which really won't change much tomorrow!
When I look at the faces of my family I know I am home! Wherever we are!

Life is precious!

Sometimes life gets blurry and we don't always notice the beauty within our lives. It often takes tragedy or moments of great joy. I have spent a long time lately thinking about how to be more positive within our lives!

Then the headlines is that a friend and colleague of my Sister and Brother-in-law's was killed in a very tragic accident. I am so sad for the family and friends he leaves behind! He was young only 58 and some may say that is old but I have always believed that age is a mental state not a number!

So take some time out to thank, cherish and enjoy your days you will be better off for it and so will those around you!

I am incredibly grateful that I have an amazing family including my sister Sandra and with her family!

That I have an amazing husband whom I don't always agree with but I have the privilege each and everyday to argue with him!

I have choices with my everyday life and I choose to cuddle my kids and nurture them. I choose to bake cookies, read stories and tickle than clean my house!

And each night I am grateful to my children's birth family for the gift I have in raising the most amazing children and not all of them get to see the joy I do most days!

I am always happy to crawl into the bed at the end of the day! Then I think about all my friends I didn't email, call or the jobs I was meant to do!

So thank you for all the support I get from you daily! I do value it!

My Babies are growing up!

This Photo of Aiden and Emily was mid January 2008 well over a year ago but the fact Emily looked so small and little just blew me away!

This was 3 months before we heard about Alice and Life is always busy! Now it is just busier and quieter as well! I remember to hug them and love them more each and everyday! We are truly blessed to have such an amazing family!

Happy Sunday everyone but especially my wonderful Gigi! My wonderful Gianna! I hope you had a fabulous day! Emily danced for you like anything! she had a fantastic day but wanted to know why we couldn't see you! Yes a mere 12 hour drive away and a 3 hour boat ride or an expensive flight! we will see you in April though!
